Alchemy of Becoming… a witch
Witchcraft is the mystery tradition within Paganism. There are many traditions within the craft, and many ways to practice as a witch, both alone as a solitary, or within a coven.
This course will be based, in the main, on British Traditional Witchcraft, a combination of Celtic Wicca and Gardnerian traditions and is written for the solitary practitioner. It is very much biased toward spiritual connection with the indigenous gods of this land, and has been written with the complete beginner in mind.
The true source of power that is the abiding spiritual practice of witchcraft is that the Divine exists within everything. Through living as a witch we can form a direct relationship with divinity and experience the rapture and alignment that a connection such as this brings to our life.
Within the Alchemy of Becoming it is our hope that we can introduce you to the value of the practices of a witch in becoming one with the gods.
We will introduce what has long been forgotten; how to dance in harmony with the cycles of nature, how to effect deep change on a physical, emotional and spiritual level, and how to create a magickal life.
We will see each year as a process of birthing, growing, maturing, harvesting and returning. We will explore the phases of the moon, as she dances her way between the planets and the personal effect that has on us.
You will be given guidance on the practical aspects of the craft, a programme of structured meditation and meaningful ritual, taught the ethics of witchcraft and given a monthly assignment for completion.
You will receive support and guidance, but your journey will very much be your own and your personal passion and enthusiasm will carry it as far as you want to take it. You will be encouraged to question and challenge as you tune in to your inner voice and start to understand the voice of the universe. You should record everything you do in a craft diary, Book of Shadows, as this will help you to look back and see how far you have travelled.

Your commitment to studying will be matched by unlimited e mail support and advice throughout the year and participation in a student facebook community. There will be occasional student events held in Glastonbury.
The work begins quite gently but increases after Moon 3 and it is expected that assignments and practices are completed fully and to the best of your ability.
