Offerings
Glastonbury and its mystical counterpart The Isle of Avalon is a very
sacred land to many who pass through it and is widely regarded as an important
and spellbinding place, through its history and its mythology. The validity
of whichever of its stories you aspire too or believe in does not really
matter. What matters is the tangible effect it has as its energy touches
the lives and awakens the hearts of so many that read about it or journey
here.
Whilst visiting Glastonbury’s Sacred Sites many pilgrims leave offerings
in the form of ribbons with words of meaning written on them to create
positive energy, scatter wishing seeds to “grow” their intentions, light
a candle at the Goddess Temple to carry their prayers or leave empowered
crystals discreetly on the land.
“Before moving to Glastonbury I had days when its “voice” used to call
to me so strongly. I could close my eyes and be at Chalice Well, or on top
of the Tor in my mind, but my heart was still full of longing for a more real
connection. Responsibilities and practicalities meant that I couldn’t always
answer that calling as often as I would have wished, until I eventually yielded
to it and relocated here.”
- Alison Sutton
Are there days when you feel the same, when your heart yearns for that
connection to the land of Avalon?
Do you have a special prayer or offering that you would like the magick
of Glastonbury and spirit of place to receive?
We understand it is not always practical to follow your calling, so please
allow us, at these times to make your offerings for you. We will guarantee
to carry this out with full integrity and intention and do our best to
accommodate specific dates or moon phases for you.
We have selected Chalice Well, The White Spring, Bride’s Mound, The Goddess
Temple, Wearyall Hill, The Abbey and of course the Tor as obvious places
you may wish us to visit on your behalf, but if you have any other requests
we are happy to accommodate them too.
We can tie a ribbon with your positive wishes to the Holy Thorn tree, we
can scatter Wishing Seeds (made from clay that will bio-degrade, containing
wild flower seeds) at Bride’s Mound, we can leave a small crystal on Glastonbury
Tor, or empower a candle for you at the Goddess Temple – the possibilities
are limited by your imagination only
.
We will then photograph exactly where it has been left and send you a set
of digital photographs. (Please note we are unable to take photographs
inside The White Spring)
