Living the Wheel of the Year 'Living the Wheel of the Year'

Here in Glastonbury we are very lucky to be able to celebrate all of the Sabbats together as a community. We are able to connect and honour the changing of the seasons through ritual and celebration; to take the time outside our everyday lives to stop, to re-connect and to be at one with the energy each turn brings.

However, I understand only too well how in other parts of the country wanting to join in with celebrations and finding there is nothing going on locally can be very isolating.

Alternatively, you may find yourself wanting to join in with everything that is going on in Glastonbury but don't want to do it on your own, or not feel part of it, and to make the most of your visit. It can be daunting to turn up to events as an individual not knowing anyone or what to expect.

With both these scenarios in mind we have identified a real need to connect with other likeminded individuals at these special times.

So, primarily for students of the course, but open to other individuals as well, we  are able to offer you a co-ordinated programme of the local events and rituals in Glastonbury, to give you an opportunity to participate in celebration together and for students to work together.

Each Sabbat celebration will be different, to include ceremonies at the White Spring, Chalice Well, and other open public rituals and on some Sabbats we will perform private rituals together as a group, really giving you a chance to put into practice what you are learning on the course. At every Sabbat there will be a walking tour of one of the sacred sites, given by expert local historian Nicholas Mann, and weather depending, we can share seasonal food picnics, craft making and get togethers around the fire.

Each event will be deeply rooted and grounded in connecting to the earth energies of the time, full of the mythology of the land and this Sacred Isle of Avalon that we have the privilege to work with.

Costs will be to cover the walking tours and expenses only and will be kept to a minimum.
